Sometimes tortoise breeding is a hilarious business.

But then other times it is also a very serious affair.

I was sat on the park with my tortoises who were having a good run round.
“Woah! Is that a wild tortoise!” - I live in britain. Not exactly famous for its chelonian wildlife.
“Do tortoises have ever take off their shell?”
“Woah, is that a snake?! Hannah, that lady has a snake over there!”
“Did you just catch them?!”
“I didn’t think tortoises were still kept by anyone!”
“If you drop them do their shells shatter like glass?”

Phoebe is not amused.
Head on over to tortoise-adventures for a new blog all about tortoises! There will be regular updates about Phoebe (above) and George, as well as other tortoise information and advice :)
The guys got introduced to the newly finished enclosure today.
Both of them took the opportunity to trash the entire thing, like any self respecting tortoise should do. :) Phoebe instantly went to sit on top of the hide and wouldn’t let George up. George retaliated by going and sitting on top of a plant. My tortoises are idiots.
