Red Star is now promised to a new home and has been renamed Mu Cephei (hopefully i spelt that right!). He is eating well, loving being handled and is almost a healthy little guy again!
Red Star
Checked on little Red this morning. That tail is decidedly dead - he’s stopped reacting to the iodine when i’ve been cleaning it. I know that stuff stings a little - even with me diluting it a bit for him. His head pattern is gorgeous though! He’s a very happy little chappy and he’s stopped looking quite so dehydrated. Gonna see about feeding him soon since he’s been here almost a week now :) Also waiting for him to start shedding and i think a good meal should kickstart that. I also want to put some vitamin/mineral supplements on it to just help him heal that little bit more.
Red Star
Red is feeling much better now! His poorly tail seems like it will most likely be lost during/after his next shed or so. Apparently this shouldn’t hurt him since that tissue is currently all but gone. He’s not as dehydrated now as he’s losing his wrinkles and is so much more energetic! He actually tried to bite me rather than hanging limp - never have i been so happy to see an angry snake! He’s still looking a tad skinny but i can’t feed him till we’ve sorted the dehydration.
Red Star.
Red is looking much better after having a bath! All of his retained shed has come off and there was a good 2 layers. He’s looking a little brighter along his back too. He lost the tip of his tail though - it literally just fell off. Its questionable as to whether the rest of his tail will be saved though since it still looks very black. He’s now in ‘sick bay’ and i’ll be keeping an eye on him and that tail.
Hes such a friendly little guy - didn’t even bite me when his tail tip fell off!
Red Star
Just collected this poor little mite. His previous owner says he’s been looking like that for a month and gave him to me. He’s a teeny little thing! I named him Red Star on the way home, and from the look of the shed-free area’s im guessing him to be a hypo motley - cant be sure till i get that shed off though :) Gonna get him healthy and then find him a decent home.
Meet the newest members of my little mob!
Snapped a quick photo of them as i put them in their tubs. The larger orange/red guy is a male 210g Amelanistic corn snake who’s keeping his name ‘Pendulum’ for now. The pale one is a female 112g Snopal (Or a snow - no ones 100% sure!). She isn’t named yet but is gorgeous and decided to shed and poop en-route home! :)
So these are the two guys i may be rehoming. Their owner feels he is unable to look after them anymore so they may be coming to live with me :D
The first is a October 2010 amel corn snake male who is currently called pendulum. The 2nd is mid 2012 Snopal corn girl :) No one is 100% sure on her morph - she may be a snow, she may be a snopal. It makes no difference to me as she is gorgeous :D She’s currently in shed so her colours don’t show up well in the photo.
I have to go and see them to check them out, but all going well they may soon be joining me. :D I should consider renaming them…
Remember when Sebastian was all teeny and small? Not any more! He’s now measuring at around 30 inches and 118g!
